Dodge Ridge Engagement Session, Pinecrest Califorina Lindsey + Zachary Rasmussen

When ever I meet my couples for the first time before they book me to photograph their wedding, I always ask them how they met. When I met Lindsey and Zach at Starbucks in Manteca I was trying to be funny and I asked them ” How did you guys meet? Did you meet on tinder or something?” and they started to laugh and they actually met on tinder.  When We were choosing a location for their engagement photographs they really wanted to do some where outdoors and woodsy.  Both of them like the outdoors and both of them like to hunt.  Being a Bay area Engagement photographer I always shoot in San Francisco, or Napa Valley or Santa Cruz.  So going the opposite direction for engagement session towards the snow was a new adventure for me.  We decided to go to pinecrest.  We were expecting a ton of snow but when we got there, there was no snow any where.  We got some amazing photos near pinecrest lake, but I wanted to have a little bit of snow in my photos.  We drove up to dodge ridge ski resort which is just a few miles away and I got the look I was looking for.  This was a different look then I was used to.  Normally it is the Sutro Baths in San Francisco, or the Presidio but now it was the great outdoors.  I love being a top wedding photographer in the San Francisco bay area and being so close to the snow is awesome too.  Enjoy the photos.
