I met Mandi in Las Vegas at WPPI. I was working for sticky albums, scanning badges. Every badge I scanned I earned 5 dollars. Mandi was so hesitant to let me scan her badge. In my head I was thinking why are you so private, I just want to scan your badge, I want my 5 dollars. After talking to Mandi, I found out that she was pretty awesome behind the camera, and she was pretty awesome with light painting, she had taken a workshop on light painting. I wanted to learn a new trick behind the lens, so I made a Trip to San Diego. We went to Balboa Park to shoot, look for cool lighting, shadows, etc. Mandi informed me that she hates being in front of the camera – I couldn’t tell. Here are some images from the San Diego trip. These are straight out of the camera (looking for cool light). Some of the pictures are the locations I saw and what we got. Some are photos of what other photographers were doingThis is a location where other photographers were shooting, (safe in the shade) Or in front of a fountain
